The multimodal standalone module for face and palm recognition, AMT-FAM—10, captures grayscale images in Near-Infrared (NIR) and true-colour RGB face pictures for biometric identification. This module uses Armatura FaceLite and LiveFace algorithms that not only ensure the highest-quality images required for accurate recognition but also provide extremely secure anti-spoofing protection through highly dependable liveness detection. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) imaging sensors built into the device, together with an infrared LED, make it possible to take better quality pictures of faces at different distances under various indoor and outdoor lighting conditions. When infrared and visible light imaging technologies are combined here, they allow for very precise distinction between live individuals and their imitators who may use paper prints, video recordings, or digital photos, thereby delivering a much stronger biometric authentication against spoofing attacks.
